Good bye Warcraft, Good bye Starcraft and hello complacated strategy game!!! Ok... so its for the strategy boys but still, this game is just fun, remeber warcraft III? with only 4 races? well in rise of nations you have 18 different nations to choose from, with their own distinct ability, like the egytians can get 7 farms instead of 5, or spain able to see the whole land mass without having to explore, and don't worry, you won't have a hard time picking one, and starting a game. The basic point in the game is the Conquer the World Campaign, witch allows you to play a game like risk, you start with 1 supply depot, you move to attack enemys to gain their land, or go destroy barbarians and gain empty land, OR attack a nations capital to gain their power, and obtain all thier land(or mabe get a supply depot). well thats that it, when you playing you start out in the ancient age, and guess what? Thats right you get to advance to other ages, it going like this:
Ancient Age(500 B.C. and up)
Classical Age(500 B.C - 500 A.D)
Medival Age(500 A.D - 1500 A.D.)
Gunpowder Age(1500 A.D. - 1700 A.D.)
Enlightment Age(1700 A.D. - 1900 A.D.)
Industrial Age(1900 A.D. - 1940 A.D.(Like WWI)
Modern Age(1940 A.D - 2000 A.D. (Like WWII)
Information Age(2000 and up(where we are now)
ya, thats 8 ages, wow... thats now all, you know how in Starcraft you got vesphene and crystal? well in Rise of Nations, you got
Food
Lumber
Gold
Metal
Oil
Inteligence
and all of those besides inteligence can be bought and sold with you gold. Well, time to say the rest of the things i have to say in a review, the graphics are very good and will be good eye candy if you playing the game at full zoom, the sound is really not the best, and i wish they had a better music. The strategy fans will drool over this one if you give it to them for the holidays coming up, I give Rise of Nations a 4 out of 5.
